  • Are there any "hints" to help me get a better grade?

    Here are a few helpful hints:
    • Focus as much as you can on revelation and application in God's Word, rather than just head-knowledge. This is what the OBC courses aim for, and when it comes to essays, this is what matters most to the graders.
    • Don't trust your memory. While you are taking your tests, look over your lessons and notes, and keep your Bible open, ready to check on scripture references.
    • When writing essays, don't copy directly from your lessons or from other people's writings, unless you provide clear citations. We will mark your essay down if we find that it is "plagiarizing" another person's work.
    • Relax and do your best. We don't expect anything more, or less, from you. We don't compare you with other students, but rather seek to discover where you are and how you are improving along the way.
